Rules

HOW TO COMPLETE A COMPETITION BOULDER PROBLEM:

  1. You must use a 4-point start. All 4 limbs must be on the marked starting holds and you must show control before making a move. Starting position is indicated by 4 tags, 1 for each limb.

  2. Do not use holds from other climbs. You must use only the specific color of holds, volumes and the wall. Wall bolt holes and top lip of the wall are OFF, you cannot use them.

  3. Match and show control on the top of the climb. You must touch both hands to the final hold/top of the wall and hold control to complete a climb.

MARKING ATTEMPTS & SENDS:

  • For a failed attempt: Put a tick through the box of the attempt number. An attempt counts as soon as you lift off of the mat.

  • For a successful send: Initial the box of the attempt number.

TAKE TURNS!

After an attempt, step back from the climb and let others try. If you fall off before getting the first move, you can immediately give one more attempt. Make sure your climb doesn’t run into another climber’s route!

Once you finish climbing, bring your card to the raffle table to get your tickets and put them towards prizes!
